Treatment and cost
We recommend that, to gain maximum benefit, assessment and treatment last approximately 18 months.
Our main treatment centre is based in Liverpool. Additional clinics may be held in other parts of the country, subject to demand.
FertilityCare centres are also available in Ireland, the USA, Canada and Australia.
What LIFE FertilityCare CAN Treat
- Unexplained infertility.
- Infertility due to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
- Infertility due to endometriosis (surgery may be advised).
- Sub-fertility due to one blocked fallopian tube.
- Low sperm count (individual assessment required).
- Infertility due to adhesions (surgery may be advised).
- Infertility with previously failed IVF or Intra-Uterine Insemination.
- Anovulation (failure to ovulate).
What LIFE FertilityCare CAN’T Treat
- Absent sperm count (azoospermia).
- Premature ovarian failure.
- Blockage of both fallopian tubes (unless corrected by microsurgery).
- Established menopause.
Cost
The average cost is approximately £1,100 for the first year. This is broken down into a series of payments covering charting and medical appointments.
The cost, however, excludes:
- Private surgical and laboratory costs for fertility investigation.
- Ultrasound scanning.
- Private counselling.
- Medications.
Payment Structure for LIFE FertilityCare Programme
Initial 3 months of charting - £190
- Charting Materials for tracking your Fertility
- Teaching and support via follow-up appointments with a LIFE FertilityCare Practitioner/Teacher
From the 4th month of charting - £225
- Charting reviews and corrections and further supplies of materials
- Treatment cycle reviews (including input from the co-ordinator and Physician)
- Hormonal blood result interpretation and evaluation every cycle
Medical consultations (usually every 3-4 months) including Pre-Enrolment - £120 each
- Consultations (including prescriptions)
- Administration
- Correspondence with your GP and specialists
- Referral letters for gynaecological investigations/surgery
- Management of Progesterone support in pregnancy if indicated
- Premises and disposables
Fees do not include
- Private laboratory costs for investigations, e.g. blood tests, seminal fluid analysis
- Gynaecological/ Fertility investigations and treatments, e.g. laparoscopy
- Ultrasound scanning
- Costs of medications prescribed
- Costs of needles and syringes used in the giving of some medications
Client responsibilities
- To keep appointments for follow-ups and cycle reviews with Practitioners. Telephone follow-ups and reviews are at the expense of the client.
- To keep appointments with the LIFE FertilityCare Physician
- To forward blood results as soon as possible and before the end of each cycle (telephone, email or fax can be used.)
- To send hard copies of blood results and other investigations to the LIFE FertilityCare Clinic in Liverpool
- To communicate with their Practitioner or the Co-ordinator regarding side effects of medications immediately as they occur
* If payments are not met on time the programme will be suspended and no further medical or teaching appointments will be made until any outstanding balance is cleared.

Initial 3 months of charting - £190

Further appointments from month 4 of charting will be charged at £30 per follow-up.
